James M. Dailey
Supporting Artist, Bloomington
James M Dailey was raised and lives in Hesperia California, but attended college at California State University San Bernardino. Their photographic work includes themes of water as a resource, along with space being a diminishing commodity. Their practice involves using images and historical archives to reflect and document the foundational issues that have and continue to shape the High Desert landscape and the individuals within it. In his own work, James has taken an allied interest in the land use policies in Bloomington, Colton and San Bernardino. He was excited to continue his work with former classmate and fellow artist from Bloomington, Fernanda Durazo, on this project — who he collaborated with in issue 1.1 of The Space zine.
“I feel it is important to work with communities similar to my own, to work towards creating the systematic change that will create better living conditions and policies for all of the Inland Empire.”
